This website aims to support the educational dimensions of Brecht’s comedy A Man’s A Man, which will be staged in Summer 2012 at Uranium Madhouse in Los Angeles.
Although this website is primarily aimed at teachers, it may offer many audience members background information on the play, its writer, the translation project, and the theater company. Teachers who have the opportunity to teach A Man’s A Man will find concrete ideas for lessons that prepare their students to see (or read) the play, as well as activities that can help young people engage with issues that the play raises and develop a critical appreciation for stage aesthetics.
This website was developed by a team of graduate students during a seminar on curriculum development in the Department of Germanic Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
