{"id":593,"date":"2012-10-09T17:57:26","date_gmt":"2012-10-09T17:57:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.la.utexas.edu\/kb\/?p=593"},"modified":"2020-06-12T17:41:18","modified_gmt":"2020-06-12T17:41:18","slug":"client-communication-from-good-to-great","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sites.la.utexas.edu\/kb\/2012\/10\/09\/client-communication-from-good-to-great\/","title":{"rendered":"Client Communication: From Good to Great"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Here is what we would like to see you communicate to a client.<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Succinctly<\/em> &#8211; state your purpose of communication and, if necessary, how\u00a0you became involved<\/li>\n<li><em>Every email<\/em> &#8211; provide a way to see the work quickly (link, attachment,\u00a0image, complete file path)<\/li>\n<li><em>Closure<\/em> &#8211; ask for confirmation of completion<\/li>\n<li><em>Invite more business<\/em> &#8211; Say we are here to help and invite them to ask\u00a0for it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>If you practice this and make it your mantra, you are going to be a more desirable employee when you get out in the world. Why, because the client can confirm with almost no effort &#8211; also because the manager can get a quicker confirmation of completion and clean up their to do list.
