Tamil<br \/>\ngraphemic system is generally syllabic in nature. Through eighteen Frames,\u00a0the 18 Tamil consonants and 12 vowels and four Grandha consonants are\u00a0introduced. The sound values and their distributions of consonants and\u00a0vowels are also explained. In this section the distributions of the graphemes\u00a0like initial, medial and final positions in words are given for further\u00a0understanding of their occurrence.
