Activities Developer: Jennifer Witte and Hyunjee Yoon

Jennifer Witte earned a M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Texas at Austin in 2012.  She has B.A. in Spanish Education and Latin American Studies from Miami University.  Currently her research interests relate to Applied Linguistics, primarily second language and heritage language acquisition.  Due to her background as a high school Spanish teacher, she was excited to be involved in this project, understanding the value of the learner videos and their related activities and the benefits they provide for future Spanish instructors.

Hyunjee Yoon received her M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics in 2012 and her B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from Korea University in 2008. Her research interests relate to Second Language Acquisition. Her major research field is how the interaction of Spanish learners influences their language use. Currently working as an Assistant Instructor for Spanish undergraduate courses at the University of Texas at Austin, she was greatly interested in developing activities that were primarily designed for Spanish instructors, students and researchers in Spanish Second Language Acquisition.

 

Video Developers: The SPT Team

The Spanish Proficiency Training & Learner Corpus videos and website is the result of collaboration between Professor Dale Koike and graduate students Lori Czerwionka, Cory Lyle, Jocelly Meiners, Karyn Rayburn, Robert Sauveur and Memoria James of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, funded by grants from Liberal Arts ITS 2006-07 and The Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (COERLL) from 2010-2011.
