Two talks on Texas German in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the  49th annual Symposium of the Society for German American Studies: “The study of Texas German in the 1960s” (together with Marc Pierce and Joren Somers) and “Updating the Texas German Dialect Corpus for (Comparative) Speech Island Analysis” (together with Thomas Schmidt and and Margo Blevins).

My colleague Dr. Thomas Schmidt is visiting UT Austin this week to continue programming work on the Texas German Dialect Archive.

I just published a new paper on Zur Konzeption eines ingenieurwissenschaftliches Online-Lernerwörterbuchs. G-FOL plus Gingko in an edited volume published by C. Fandrych, A. Portmann, L. Schirrmeister, and F. Wallner.

I am happy to welcome Dr. Laura Guse from the Goethe-Universitaet Frankfurt to UT for her 3 week-long research stay. She will be conducting research on motion constructions in Texas German.
