National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship, National Endowment for the Humanities, Washington, D.C. One-year long fellowship with release from teaching duties to complete my book manuscript on Texas German. The fellowship allowed me to complete the final three chapters of my manuscript and to revise the entire manuscript before submitting it to the editor of American Speech, which publishes its journal as well as its yearly supplemental with Duke University Press.
