This month, the Texas German Dialect Project is celebrating its 10 year anniversary at the University of Texas at Austin. Over 10 years I interviewed (together with my students) more than 380 speakers of Texas German and deposited the recordings in an on-line archive for preservation purposes, outreach activities, classroom teaching, and research.
