NOTES: The word نوشابه means ‘drink’ in general. Soft drink and soda is sometimes referred to as نوشابهٔ غیرالکلی nūshābe-ye gheyr-e alkoli ‘non-alcoholic drink.’ The Persian keyk-e yazdi is originally from the city of Yazd; but it is baked in other areas as well. It is the Persian version of the western “muffin.”
